Skeal is a stock, sales and invoicing app made by Lytrix Consult in Ghana (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use skeal.cloud, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address, password (stored scrambled, never readable by us) and, if you give it, your phone number.
- Your shop: shop name, town, type of business, MoMo number and name, logo, and the settings you choose.
- Your records: products, stock movements, sales, invoices, payments, expenses and customers that you enter into Skeal.
- Your customers' details: names and phone numbers you add or upload, so you can send them invoices, receipts and reminders.
- Billing: your plan, payment dates and the payment reference from our mobile money provider. We do not see or store your MoMo PIN.
- Technical data: basic logs such as the device type, browser and time of a request, used to keep Skeal secure and working.
How we use it
- To run your shop's account: save your records, make invoices and receipts, and show your reports.
- To send messages you ask for, such as SMS receipts and payment reminders to your customers.
- To take payment for paid plans and tell you about your plan.
- To answer you when you contact support.
- To keep Skeal safe, stop abuse and fix problems.
We never sell your information or your customers' information, and we do not use your shop's records for advertising.
Your customers' information
When you add customers to Skeal, you decide what is stored and you are responsible for having their permission to contact them. We only use their details to do what you ask, such as sending them an invoice or a receipt from your shop.
Who we share it with
We use trusted companies to run Skeal. They only get what they need to do their job for us:
- Supabase: database and sign-in (servers in the European Union).
- Vercel: hosting the website.
- Moolre: mobile money payments for paid plans.
- mNotify: sending SMS messages.
- Our email provider: account and sign-in emails.
Some of these companies keep data outside Ghana. We choose providers that protect data to a standard at least as strong as Ghanaian law requires. We may also share information if the law requires it.
Invoice links
Each invoice you share has its own private link. Anyone who has the link can open that invoice, so only send it to the right person. Invoice links are hidden from search engines.
How long we keep it
We keep your records for as long as your account is open, so your history is there when you need it. If you ask us to close your account, we delete your shop's records within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep, such as payment records for tax.
Keeping it safe
Information travels encrypted (HTTPS) and is stored on secure servers. Each shop can only see its own records.
Your rights
You can see and correct most of your information in the app. You can also ask us for a copy of your information, to correct or delete it, or to stop a use you object to. To do this, contact us on WhatsApp. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
Cookies
Skeal uses only the storage it needs to keep you signed in and remember your settings, such as your colours. We do not use advertising cookies.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
